BASIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT PAPER HANG TAGS

2.PAPER TYPES

Couches Pindo (C paper)- the most usual papers: This type of paper has same surface and glossy on both sides. It is good choice for printing same color on both sides.

Ivory paper (I paper): In comparision with coucher paper, Ivory is harder with 1 glossy side and 1 rough side. It is more difficult to print same color on both sides.

Kraft paper: kraft paper with 2 rough sides, is the first choice of hang tags for jeans and T-shirts products. This paper is also a good expression for the brands that aim for a classic, rustic look.

Art paper: this type of paper has different thicknesses and pecial patterns on surface. Because of slightly higher price than other types, this type of paper is often choosen by customers who seek for luxurious, unique and impressive tags.

At Thien An label, beside above paper types, we process hang tags on special materials such as: PU leather, fabric etc.

3. Hang tag printing technic

Hang tags are normally printing with offset technology which is good solution for printing of big quantity with cheap price.  

4.PROCESSING

After complete printing, the print will be processed. The processing includes one or all below steps:

+ Paperborad: if those are thick paper hang tags, we need composed of layers of paper to meet the requested thickness.

Glossy lamination / matte lamination: it makes the tags look smooth, limit breakage, dirt, and water.

+ Trimming / handling of finished products: with simple designs, customers often prefer square trimming to create square and rectangular tags. And customers can also choose handling special shapes: circle, triangle, flower, animal, double folded, dashed ...

– For more impressive products, we can make different effects as: embossing logo, debossing logo, emulsion pressing etc.
